Rabbit Abuse at Kohlen in Kelpen-Oler

Owner Frans Köhlen received a Beter Leven Mark star from the Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals (Dierenbescherming). He received the star for the way he keeps the mother rabbits. The young ones are crammed into standard cages, some with plastic mats, many without. There are dead, chewed-up rabbits among the live ones, rabbits have ear problems, and one is missing an entire ear.
