In June 2011, Ongehoord published its investigation into Dutch pig farming. The disturbing images of dead pigs, inflamed eyes, tumors, paralysis, and cannibalism sparked a national outcry. The different quality labels for pork seemed to do little to enhance the lives of these sensitive and intelligent animals.
